Welcome to a «Lessons learned and Looking forward»-webinar

Now that this Erasmus funded project is nearing its end, it is time to reflect upon what has been achieved over the three years of workshops and webinars on the topic of Garden Conservation.

When:
On the 21st of November, between 14:00 and 16:15 (UTC +01:00), you are all invited to join the last webinar for now, arranged by the Craft Skills for Garden Conservation-partners.

What:
A panel of contributors representing the different countries involved will attempt to summarise the highlights of the project, as well as some of the challenges. We will share how the project can still be accessed on the website using recordings of past webinars and films of the workshops. In addition, we will consider some of the comments made by participants, and see how these might be addressed in a future project.

We will also look forward to the spring of 2025 when we plan to bid for further project funds to build on what we have already achieved. Members of the audience will be canvassed on topics and formats for future workshops and training schemes, and we hope to build this into the bid.

How:
The webinar is free of charge. A sing-up link will be available soon.

Other Garden Conservation

We cooperate with other actors in the heritage garden community throughout Europe, and here is some info about upcoming events hosted by some of them.

Workshop

Join the team at Gunnebo gardens in Sweden for a two-day practical workshop in which we investigate the impact of historical techniques and tools on both the aesthetic and horticultural development of hedges.
It’s time! The Orangery at Gunnebo will finally be opening and we’re celebrating by inviting you all to our very first crafts festival. Are you interested in heritage crafts like wood and stone carving, timber framing or how to make a tiled stove? Would you like to know more about orangery plants and mowing with scythes? Then this is the perfect event for you.

Workshop

Gunnebo is hosting this four days workshop, with the topic ‘Lawns and meadow cultivation in Historic Gardens’ which is a follow up on the webinar earlier this year.
