Jenny Nilsson studied Horticultural Management at SLU. Starting off in the garden center trade, she continued to cultivate her passion for spreading knowledge and information about nursery plants and horticulture through freelance work in journalism, lecturing, holding workshops and coordinating garden shows. She spent two years at the Gothenburg Botanical Garden coordinating the public venture Gothenburg Green World 2016. Since then, alongside the freelance work, she is an employee of Sveplant; a company collectively owned by Sweden’s major woody plant nurseries. At Sveplant she was involved in the creation of the Planter software aimed to help green professionals navigate the Swedish nursery assortment, where she now continues the work of refining and expanding Planter’s image database. On the freelance side, Jenny’s latest passion is teaching gardeners about meadow management and scythe mowing, which she does at Gunnebo House as well as around the country.
