Jenny is a horticultural advisor for the Royal Horticultural Society. Her current project is researching the most resilient alternatives to box in various parts of the UK. This is an example of her main area of interest: sustainable gardening, where right plant, right place is key. Through working with RHS scientists, surveys and research, Jenny’s contributions to RHS webpages, podcasts and magazines help the gardening public create low maintenance, resilient gardens.
Much of the focus of Jenny’s work is to answer questions from members of the RHS. This can be online, in person at shows, and via the gardening advice phoneline. Writing articles and taking part in the RHS podcast are also ways in which Jenny guides gardeners of all levels using her practical experience and knowledge.
