Alette is an independent scholar, with a PhD in the History of science and technology. Her research connects the histories of natural inquiry and technology in the Low Countries in the seventeenth century by focusing on gardens. She is currently writing papers on Early Modern Science and Botany. Subjecst are: Plant Knowledge, Amateurs and Scholars, Plants as symbols of Power.
