David Swanton is the Head Garden at Powis Castle and Garden responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, development, planning and strategy for the garden, he has worked for the National Trust at three properties spanning 35 years.

He started at Powis in 1999 as the Assistant Head Gardener and was promoted to HG in 2010, the hedges are a major feature at Powis and the high hedges have been featured on television on many occasions and are the most commonly asked question they receive.
